Cinzia’s Story

Born and raised in Italy, Cinzia Moniaci lived in Paris and London for her studies, earned a PHD in Communication while freelancing as a fashion and music journalist. Her passion for fashion and music began early on while singing for local bands in London and working in Paris. While at a business convention she met her husband, a UCLA business graduate and accomplished musician, who had played with the groups that started the alternative rock mouvement. They formed a band in 1997 and the homonymous publishing company BIONICA Music. Together they wrote and performed songs that were featured on several TV shows and movies, most notably on the soundtrack of Dawson’s Creek. They were offered a record deal shortly after but wary of the imminent changes of the music business, they decided instead to pursue the dream of having a family and building successful businesses.

Cinzia started her line MONI MONI in 2004 ( designing accessories, after earning a scholarship in fashion at FIDM in Los Angeles. Her handbag collection was featured on many Hollywood celebrities (Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Viola Davis, Kristen Bell, Jessica Biel etc.) and fashion magazines around the world (Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Harpers Bazaar, W etc.) .

She recently got a licensing deal to design her MONI MONI Eyewear collection which will be launched in 2016. She also opened an Interior Design company, collaborating with her husband, finance and real estate developer, designing luxury homes by the beach.

They continue to write and license music throughout the years and have a catalog of over 150 songs, written in different languages, Cinzia speaks 5. Their band THE PERFECT NINES ( regularly performs in Southern California and Europe.
